What is Allabout.ie?
It can be hard to track all the interesting things that are going on in your community.
Through technology and the human touch, Allabout aims brings the best of that online conversation together in one convenient website.
How do I get my news onto Allabout.ie?
We are continually scanning the web for new sources of information, and will be delighted to work with you to add your content.
Ideally, we would like to receive the information as an RSS feed, though we can work with other formats, including within Facebook. Use the submission form to get in touch with us.
We try to provide the best of local content, so cannot guarantee any item gets promoted into the main or any stream on the site, but good material will shine through!
What content can you work with?
Blogs, and blogging services that provide an RSS/Atom feed (like Audioboo, Podcasts, Tumblr, Posterous, Flickr). Twitter statuses, Facebook Groups/Businesses, Facebook status updates may require you to 'friend' us and will involve checking privacy settings on some accounts Emailing us will require setting up a Posterous account as an intermediary; if you're stuck. Some time-sensitive information will require special setup; let us know if you want to supply information that is 'embargoed'. We will also in exceptional circumstances monitor some webpages in our community for changes; however, this is very manual and not as reliable as we like, so if you want to get your message out there.
I came to the site expecting news organised by importance; why is it not here?
Allabout.ie is different from a traditional news site; we update more frequently than other sites and work much more quickly. As a result, you'll get more from us in the stream every day than you'll get from other local news sources, and we'll depend on you, the users of the site, to tell us what's most interesting in the 'most read'. It's a new model for news.
When does content get published on Allabout.ie?
Content from some sources is published in near-realtime; others are managed into the stream by our editorial process. It all depends on the quality and reliability of the source; and the more sources that are available in your community the better, so get blogging!

Please use the 'report this' functionality on each item, which will queue the content for prompt review. You must provide us with your details to allow us to follow up on complaints made.
